If you love practical FX, you have to see this absolutely incredible documentary:
I love this so much especially the part on Godzilla but all of it is just wonderful to see. I also bought the DVD (I was lucky I found one here in Japan). I wish this got a bigger release and a ton more press because it deserves so much more. The history in it and the interviews are so spectacular plus it's well-edited and just a joy to behold.

New Monster Movie: BAKEMONO
Plot: A gruesome creature waits for suspecting victims in a cheap Tokyo airbnb.
Shot in Tokyo on the same kind of Hollywood camera used on films like Gone Girl, The Martian, and 10 Cloverfield Lane.
We already filmed for over 80 days. Crowdfunding now while playing at festivals.

Modern Practical FX Horror Movies
Some are good. Some are not but at least they use practical FX and don't have some shitty CG monster. I'm not completely against CGI (a blend can be great) but I think practical is better for horror. I'm only going to use practical in all the films I make.
